The Director General of the Transport Directorate of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Kirill Polyakov organized the press conference that was held 16 April and the information on free railway transfers was announced.

What is the point?

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, free train routes will be organized between 11 host cities. The campaign starts on 12 June and will be finished on 16 July. Moscow is to be the main transport hub. It is from there that the majority of routes initiate. A total number of 728 trains will be used to transport passengers.

What do you need to do to get your free tickets?

To make a free trip to the city that hosts the required World Cup match, you need to have a ticket for the match in this city (or its number) and your fan passport – FAN ID (or an application number for it). If the you have this, then you should go to tickets.transport2018.com and book a ticket for any train you like that matches you timetable.

What cities participate in the programme?

These are all 11 cities – organizers of the World Cup plus 11 intermediate stops. These stops are the following: Moscow Kurskaya, Tuapse Passenger, Krasnodar 1, Rostov Main, Tver, Vladimir, Kazan-2 (Rise), Ruzaevka, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod Moskovsky, Saratov 1 Passenger.

What is the service itself?

Comfortable top-rank trains with compartment coach with air-conditioning and a dining and luncheon carriage, where beer, wine, and, possibly, strong alcohol will be offered. There will be the staff coach with a compartment for disabled passengers.
