“Here in the capital, tourists usually have no problems with the accommodation search. However, with the World Cup 2018 coming up, the number of people eager to come to Moscow this summer has increased dramatically, as expected. The majority of hotels, especially in the city center, have been already sold out. However, there remain some accommodation that have proved the quality of their services, which are located slightly far away from the centre, still having available rooms. We provide assistance to fans in booking rooms, and property owners – in getting such customers, “- said the head of the Department of Sport and Tourism of Moscow Nikolai Gulyaev.

The Centre for the accommodation of fans uses a special database with more than 6,000 Moscow hotels contacts. During the enquiry the operator asks you to leave a phone number or e-mail address, and, then, the representative of the appropriate accommodation contacts you. The database has been gradually expanding, and the data of the Moscow region is to be employed soon.

Matches of the World Cup in Russia will be held this summer from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg and Saransk.

There will be 12 matches in the capital. The main events will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium, where four group stage matches are to take place. That is, the opening match, the round of 16, the semifinals and the final. Another five games are to be held at the “Spartak” stadium – four group stage meetings and the round of 16.
